Wotcha
I’m an art director and illustrator, and I’ve called South London home for about 20 years. I made my first London map for a friend during lockdown in 2020. Wasn’t that fun? Ever since, I’d been meaning to revisit it and make a version for the hoi polloi. That’s you lot, by the way.
About the map
It only took five years to pull my finger out. In August 2025, I finally sat down with some strong coffee and started drewdling furiously. I found an excellent fine art printer in trendy Shoreditch to do it justice and sold my first copy that October. Since then, I’ve carried on adding new landmarks and characters, so the map has evolved along the way. I’ve also taken on a few personalised commissions. If you fancy a version with a little of your own London story in it, give me a shout: hello@londonillustratedmap.com
What? What? What!
I hand draw every element on the map using my trusty iPad and stylus. I would never pass something off as hand-drawn if it was ai. I do use ai as an assistant in my everyday design work, e.g. for helping make this website, but to use it for the actual map would defeat the point of it being a labour of love. There is value in the graft.
Yes. A2 frames are available in black or white. If you have something more personalised in mind, I’m happy to discuss bespoke framing. Drop me a line at hello@londonillustratedmap.com
Each map is a premium giclée print on gorgeous 308gsm Hahnemühle Photo Rag paper, produced by a fine art printer in Shoreditch. It’s 100% cotton, acid-free and lignin-free, with a beautiful matt finish and archival quality.
I use Royal Mail to deliver throughout the UK, to selected European countries and to selected destinations further afield, including Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Japan and New Zealand. Delivery options and costs are shown at checkout. If your destination isn’t available, get in touch and we'll figure something out.
For UK deliveries, unframed A3 prints travel flat in a hardback envelope, while A2 prints are rolled in a cardboard tube. All unframed international orders are sent in a tube.
In the unlikely event of a water landing, please email me with your order number and photos of the damage. Once I’ve reviewed the photos, I’ll arrange a replacement.
Yes! I take on personalised commissions, so if you fancy adding a little of your own London story, give me a shout at hello@londonillustratedmap.com and we can discuss what's on your mind.
